Inspiration- Hands

I always thought that I could be a hand model.  Then I realized that hand models occasionally turn out like this... the most awful person on the planet. So I decided to instead take pictures of my beautifully blue manicured hands doing normal hand things.
My hands occasionally cook dinner.

They also think that they are lax bros.

Inspiration- Contrast

I used to have two dogs, one black and one white.  They always reminded me of the yin-yan symbol.  They contrasted each other not only in color, but also in personality.  Well, my white dog died, but that didn't stop my black dog with being a contrasting color to my white rug.

Inspiration- Something Funny

Something that continually amuses me is my little sister.  She is stubborn, loud, dramatic, and loves the color pink.  I've written before about how much I love being a big sister, but the crazy stuff that my little sister does really makes it a blast.
To this day my proudest moment was when she wanted me to play Kesha on my phone and I told her that I couldn't, and "just sing it yourself."  Well, sing it she did.  In fact, she sang every word of the song "Blow" perfectly, whether or not she knew what "Let me see them Hanes on you," meant.
I like to imagine that she is the coolest kid at school, educating her peers about the awesomeness of Miley Cyrus or showing off the Victoria Justice backpack that I got her for Christmas.
Sometimes, I find myself talking to her like an adult because she's so in tune with pop culture, but then she does things like this and I remember that she's just a goofy, silly little kid who I would do anything for.

Poster Project

For this project, our assignment was to create a poster that catered to a client's preferences.  We had to follow certain guidelines and take criticism on our work.  I really enjoyed this project because it was representative of the type of work a photographer or artist might have to do to make a living.
I chose to make a poster advertising the school drama, William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.  I saw the play when I was 10 and have watched She's the Man (a popular movie based on the play) many, many times.

                                                                                                                                  logankrum.wordpress.com
Some of Amanda's best work
The themes for this project were nautical, Greek island, and light blue.  I used my personal knowledge of the plot
the play and decided to create a silhouette of a man and woman's face back to back as the centerpiece of my poster.
I created this by shooting the side of two of my classmates' faces and darkening them with photoshop.
In order to keep with my nautical theme, I placed them in the center of a giant anchor, which I manipulated the
color and texture of on photoshop.  I finished by making everything blue and nautical-y, to encompass the theme
that the director wished to advertise.
